Church of St. Joseph

Built between 1910 and 1924 thanks to the Román sisters, who donated the land and promoted the construction, it was entrusted to the master bricklayer Trinidad Abarca. Based on photographs, it is said, he decorated a typical Chiapas church with a Gothic appearance: the bell towers and spires, the doorway and the belfry. Equally revealing of Abarca's expertise is the dome, which is rare in the region.
Central South Street, corner with 3rd South West Avenue.
